No matter how much I love wearing makeup, nothing feels better than taking it all off and getting a good night’s rest.
However, getting unready can take just as long as actually getting ready when you wear water-proof, 18-hour long-lasting makeup (me).
Here is how I wind down for my beauty sleep to make sure my face is ready for a new beat down the next morning!
I first remove my contacts and then go in with a Kirkland Makeup Wipe from Costco. I find that these makeup wipes do the most and really take off as much as a wipe can.
Next, I use my Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover from The Body Shop to wipe off all of my eye makeup. This natural product does a great job at removing glitter, eyeliner, and even very thick waterproof mascara. You can see the product HERE.
I then wash my face with a cleanser, apply a toner, and then moisturize. I’m currently using GlamGlow’s Mud to Foam Cleanser, a no-name Brand from Walmart as my toner and then Tatcha’s Water Cream Moisturizer. These products cleanse my face more than they remove makeup.
My second last step before bed is applying an overnight mask on my skin. Lately, I’ve been using La Neige’s Water Sleeping Mask. You can see the product HERE. Pricey but well worth it.
Last step – throw that hair up in a bun and count sheep until I sleep.
Sincerely, Steph ♥︎
